Next PHE Workshop on December 9th: "Saxes Banjos and Fiddles: Using Popular Music to Teach U.S. History"

We are excited to announce our next workshop, "Saxes, Banjos and Fiddles: Using Popular Music to Teach U.S. History," which will be taught by Dr. Fitz Brundage on Saturday, December 12th from 10 am to 3 pm.

Dr. Brundage, the UNC Umstead Professor of History and
Director of Graduate Studies for the Department of History, teaches
History 360, "The Social History of Popular Music in Twentieth Century
America," which studies popular music in order to understand significant
social, economic, and cultural transformations of the past century.

This day-long workshop, which will be held on the UNC-Chapel Hill
campus, is free with parking and lunch provided. Attendees will receive
.5 Continuing Education Units. To register please email phe@unc.edu.
