Second Language Honors Courses
Summary of December, 2004 Board Policy regarding Foreign Language Honors Courses in pdf format. This policy can also be found in the Honors Course Implementation Guide on page 153.
In addition there is a FAQs section at the end of the document and question #8 on page 188 of the document is also specific to foreign languages. The question reads:
Q: Are there any existing honors courses that are exempt from the new process?
A: The following courses are defined as "inherently advanced" and are therefore exempt from this policy:
3rd and 4th year second language (and there are course numbers and
languages listed including other foreign languages.)
AP/IB courses
Pre-calculus
Non-AP/IB calculus
