North Carolina Academic Scholars Program
The State Board of Education has, since 1983, approved a North Carolina Scholars Program for high school students in the public schools. Students who complete the requirements for an academically challenging high school program, which includes two years of the same foreign language, will be named North Carolina Academic Scholars and receive special recognition.
