High School Summer Science Leadership Institute

Poster Sessions and Presentations
Proposals Due: May 18
This year we have set up an application process to facilitate better organization of our sessions. Please fill out the application below by saving the MS Word document, typing your response and submit by e-mailing to eehasse@dpi.state.nc.us. You may submit a proposal for a poster presentation or a 90 minute session or both. Please fill out a separate application for each session you propose. Proposals are due by May 18, 2007. We will select presenters and notify all applicants by May 25, 2007.
Focus: Implementing the 2004 Standard Course of Study; High School Exit Standards; Science and the Graduation Project
Poster Session: July 9, 7-9 p.m. The purpose of the poster session is to share resources for high school science teachers and programs. Resources may be related to curriculum, professional development, research findings, student projects, student contests, grants, and commercial products. Each poster session presenter will be given space to set up a display. Tables will be provided. Electric access is limited and will be available on a first-come first-serve basis. Please bring your own extension cord(s). Wireless internet access will not be available. Dessert and coffee will be served.
