Listserv for Coordinators/Directors/Lead Teachers
There is a listserv housed and run out of NCDPI for all LEP Coordinators, ESL Directors, ESL Lead Teachers, and other administrators. It is the main vehicle by which information is shared with ESL administrators all over the state.
It is a closed listserv, which means that people cannot subcribe themselves. Names are added, deleted, and edited by the ESL Consultants as needed.

Listserv for ESL and classroom teachers
There is also a listserv created especially for teachers who teach LEP students! Over 1000 teachers have subscribed!
The listserv is managed by the ESL Consultants and will allow teachers to stay informed about ESL issues.
Teachers may follow the directions below to subscribe and will become members once approval is secured. Members may post messages to the listserv any time!
To subscribe, follow these steps:
1) Type join-eslteachers@lists.dpi.state.nc.us in the "to" line of a blank e-mail message.
2) Send the message.
3) Wait for a membership confirmation message.
You will then be subscribed!
You can opt to receive the eslteachers listserv as a digest, that is, receive one daily message with all the contributions for that day.
To choose this option follow these instructions:
(1) Go to the Forum view by putting in your browser, http://lists.dpi.state.nc.us/read
(2) Log in to eslteachers listserv (click on the "Not logged in" link
in the upper right hand corner of screen) by entering full email address
and password (if you have one).
(3) Then click on the "My Account" tab on your left.
(4) Click on Membership type and choose Digest: one daily email w/all
the messages for that day
