The National Writing Project (NWP) is a professional development network that serves teachers of writing at all grade levels, primary through university, and in all subjects. The mission of the NWP is to improve student achievement by improving the teaching of writing thus improving learning in the nation’s schools.

In North Carolina, there are three NWP Sites, The Tar River Writing Project (TRWP) at East Carolina University, The Capital Area Writing Project (CAWP) at NC State University, and the UNCC Writing Project at UNC Charlotte. Tune in to this podcast to hear NC Writing Project leaders from the three sites talk about writing, the teaching of writing, and the positive impact that the Writing Project has across the curriculum in North Carolina Schools.
